When Mum and I went for walkies a couple of days after my birthday we saw a strange animal that I had never ever seen before! It was in the front yard of another people-kennel and Mum said it was called an Echidna. I wanted to get closer to sniff at it and investigate, but Mum wouldn’t let me. I was a Very Good Boy and sat very still so we could watch it for a while. Mum took some photos and a video of it as it walked through the garden and then across the driveway and disappeared under the parked car. We went into the vacant block of land next door but it never reappeared. It wasn’t under the car anymore so it was probably hiding in the garden between the car and the vacant block.

There’s some good information about Echidnas on the NSW Office of Environment & Heritage website and on Wikipedia, if you want to know more about them.
